Dance Camps at The Pointe are creative, active fun with friends!
Dance camps are a great way for your child to give dance a try – no previous experience required! Our campers will learn dance fundamentals and choreography for a performance routine (parents get to watch at the end of camp!), create daily crafts, and enjoy healthy snacks. Campers will dance, play, and learn from our caring and qualified instructors.
We’re thrilled to offer incredible one-day and three-day camps with fun themes and comprehensive lesson plans for ages 3 and up!
Please contact us if you have questions about which camps are the best fit for your student!
Dance camps are listed below – use the easy search filters to find the best options for your dancer’s age group! Take advantage of early-bird pricing (save $5 on on-day camps and $10 on 3-day camps!) by signing up before May 1!
Dance Camp FAQ’s:
What does my child need to wear and bring for dance camp?
Dancers just need to wear clothes that are comfortable and that they can easily dance and play in! We also recommend dancers bring a water bottle. Bare feet or dance shoes for the theme of the camp are great in the studio rooms. Dance clothes are welcome but not required. We provide everything dancers need to have a blast! If your child has severe food allergies or strong snack preferences, packing a backup snack is a great idea.
What is a typical schedule for dance camps at The Pointe?
We fill our days with dancing fun, games, snacks, and stories during dance camps! Here’s an outline that we start our camp plans with – but every camp is different 🙂
1. Coloring page or activity sheet while dancers arrive.
2. Quick introductions and instructor shares the plans and focus for the day.
3. Dance class! Warm-ups, strengthening and stretching exercises, learning new skills, and reviewing skills.
4. Craft or activity time.
5. Snack time & story time.
6. Learn or practice our performance piece.
