Message from Miss Vanessa:
We’re in the final stretch of 2020 – and I know I won’t be the only one with a sigh of relief and a new sense of hope when the calendar turns to 2021. We know the challenges of the past year won’t go away overnight, but we do have a lot to hope for and look forward to as experts start predicting how and when we can start to go “back to normal”.
As challenging as 2020 has been, and while it’s SO tempting to want to just rush through the end of it and focus on better days ahead, I’m focusing on what we have learned and how we have grown through our challenges.
Our studio’s theme this year is all about growth. This season has been so tough, we’ve found that businesses and organizations are truly in “sink or swim” mode. In these tough waters, choosing to swim and refusing to sink, we’ve grown some muscles we may not have if the waters were smoother and easier.
My hope for 2021 is that as we see the light at the end of the tunnel in this pandemic, and we start to plan for a return to “normal”, we retain the strengths we developed when we had no other choice and return to normal with a new appreciation for things we overlooked.
I hope that you and your family are able to close out 2020 with an understanding of the strengths you’ve gained through this time.

Another Great Gift Idea – Dance Camp & Gift Box Set!
At the dance camp on January 9, kids ages 3-10 will learn a dance to music from the Frozen soundtrack, explore the story and characters from these amazing movies, play games, and make a Frozen-inspired craft! For dancers who are attending classes by Zoom, we will also send home tips to create a meaningful virtual performance from the safety and comfort of your home. There are some easy, free ways to make a holiday performance at home happen that will be fun for your performer and audience alike!

Makeup Classes: How to Make up an Absence
We know that sometimes, things come up and a dancer may need to miss their class. No biggie! Our technology makes it possible for you to easily communicate an absence in advance so our teachers know, and get makeup classes scheduled to take online at home at your convenience.
1 – Know you’ll be gone? Log an absence through your parent portal. Log in here: www.dancestudio-pro.com/online/thepointe with the same email and password used to register. It’s quick and easy! (in fact, here’s a 40-second video that shows the process step by step! https://youtu.be/nstwEOf7e58)
2 – Email the front desk to get options for makeup classes. We’ll reply with Zoom links to access your classes from home on a day and time that is convenient for you!
Of course, making up classes is not required – but many of our families really appreciate the opportunity to get absences made up.
