Message from Miss Vanessa:
I think I always start my message in the newsletter being surprised that we’re already to the current month. This year has absolutely flown by and we’ll be celebrating recital in the Paramount before we know it! We are in full recital prep mode – classes have either finished their recital choreography or will finish in their next class, the mirrors are covered and slowly getting filled with messages of encouragement from dancers, and we’re putting the finishing touches on recital planning and preparation.
As we get into recital mode fully and focus on doing everything we can to help our students have amazing performances on stage – I like to try and remember that while the 3 minute routine at recital is what we see as the “end result” of the year of dance training, there has been so much learned that we can’t showcase in a choreographed routine. Watching the new skills performed, seeing the confidence and joy of dancing on stage, are all wonderful – but there has been so much more happening this year than just the great dancing we’ll see on stage. I’m SO incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to try new things and work with new and old classmates to achieve goals together. The recital is what we see at the end of the year – and this year has been full of so much more!
Please don’t wait to get signed up for summer classes and camps – a few class sessions are close to full and we’d hate for our families to miss out because of a late registration. May 1 is also the last day to get a bonus $10 gift certificate for the Back to Dance Sale with registration for the 2018-2019 season! A few fall classes have also already filled (our new space and expanded class times does mean that we have lowered some of our class capacity #’s and will not fill classes past our capacity to ensure our class sizes stay just right). We’ll get our new dance shop space set up for the big sale over the summer and can’t wait to get moved in to our larger facility with more lobby space and parking just one block over soon!

Company and Community Team Information & Audition Sign-Ups!
We are thrilled to announce our brand-new Community Team program designed for the dancer who wants to perform more throughout the community! Dancers who are interested in more performances and being a part of a productive and positive dance team should check out our Community Team (performance group) and Company (competitive group). Dancers who eat, sleep, and breathe dance can absolutely participate in both – in fact, we encourage it!
