Coming soon: A BIG Project at The Pointe!
It’s been almost a year of dreaming and planning... and we’re SO excited to finally share what’s coming! We’re reimagining our lobby and The Turning Pointe Boutique to make your time at The Pointe even better. 🩷💜💙
Our goal has always been to make dance great for kids and easy for parents. That includes what happens before and after class, from finding your way to a studio to picking up a new pair of dance shoes. This renovation is an opportunity to make our space work better for the families who use it every day!
What’s changing?
The new layout will bring some BIG improvements:
One larger, open lobby. We’re opening the lounge to become part of the main lobby, creating a more connected, welcoming space.
An easier path to class. A wider, more open route to the hallway will improve traffic flow to and from studios B, C, and D.
A bigger, more functional boutique. The Turning Pointe Boutique will gain square footage and a layout that makes better use of the space.
A fresh, cohesive look. We’ll update the wooden overhang, lighting, and boutique walls to make the entrance feel more like us!
These pieces are all connected, which is why this has grown into such a big project. We’ve spent a lot of time thinking through how the space works and how to make it work better for our students, parents, and staff team.
A sneak peek at the plans
The mockup below gives you a look at the planned layout and overall design direction. It’s a rough rendering, so furniture, wall decor, boutique displays, and other finishing details are still to come.
There are plenty of decisions left to make, but we couldn’t wait any longer to share what’s taking shape!
When will it happen?
We’re currently working through permitting and scheduling, with construction expected to begin in October. Once work starts, we anticipate about 4-6 weeks of construction.
As dates and details are confirmed, we’ll share what families need to know about navigating the space during the project. Thank you in advance for your patience as we bring these plans to life! Our boutique may close to in-person shopping for a period of time, and our front desk may be a folding table for a few weeks, but we know the end result will be well worth the adjustments made during construction.
We put so much care into the excellent instruction, encouragement, and service our families receive. We can’t wait for your first steps through our doors to reflect that same excellence and care, and for our lobby and boutique to look, feel, and function more like the studio we love.
