Free Trial Dance Classes in Cedar Rapids
The Pointe School of Dance offers classes for students ages 1 to adult in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding communities. We are currently enrolling for our summer programs and the 2026 - 2027 school year.
New to The Pointe? We offer free trial classes for new families in classes with availability. A trial class is the best way to experience our programs, meet our team, and make sure our studio is a great fit for your family

Use the calendar to book a trial class for any dancer ages 1-5, or for ages 6-10 who are new to dance.
If your dancer is in first grade or above and has dance experience, please fill out the form below. Our team will reach out to you shortly to schedule a trial class or placement class to find the best fit for them in our programs.

Your dancer can wear any comfortable clothing that allows for movement. Bare feet or socks are perfect for most classes, and clean athletic shoes are recommended for hip hop.
We have a wide selection of dance shoes students can borrow for their trial class. Check in at the front desk to see what we have available in your child’s size.
If you decide to enroll, we will provide specific dress code details for each class. Our in-studio boutique has everything your child needs for class!

We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled class time. Come in the main entrance (middle doors) and let our front desk team know you’re here for a trial. We’ll give you a quick studio tour and make sure your dancer is ready to go!
After class, we will connect with you to answer questions, offer class recommendations, and assist with registration.

Many of our classes are organized by age, making it easy to get started.
After your child attends their free trial, we will provide class recommendations and next steps for registering.
