10/31: PSD Trunk or Treat & Weather Plans
We are keeping an eye on the forecast for tomorrow and will make a decision about our Trunk or Treat event by 9 AM. If we cancel for weather, we will send an email and post on our socials by 9 AM. If you don’t hear from us, we are still on!
Trunk or Treat is planned from 10:30-12 in the PSD Parking Lot (if our lot is full, park in the lots of our neighbor businesses - they are closed on the weekends) :)

Nutcracker Performance Update
Our Nutcracker is moving to Linn-Mar’s new Performance Hall!
We are THRILLED to share that this year’s Nutcracker performances will take place in the new Performance Hall at Linn-Mar! The Linn-Mar School Board approved the hall for rental to local organizations on Monday night, and we’ve been working hard this week to make this exciting move happen.
This beautiful new space offers so much for our dancers and audience members to look forward to:
A much larger stage with more room for our dancers, backdrops, and set pieces to bring the story to life.
More backstage wing space for smoother entrances, exits, and scene changes.
Upgraded lighting and sound capabilities to help the magic of the Nutcracker shine.
More comfortable audience seating so family and friends can settle in and enjoy the show.
More seats available to welcome family, friends, neighbors, and everyone who wants to cheer on our dancers and enjoy the show!
Our dancers have been working so hard, and we can’t wait to see them take the stage in this incredible new space.

We have some FUN Nutcracker apparel ready for preorder in our new (still building) online store! Orders are open through 11/15. Holiday, Nutcracker, and new gift items are online and ready to order now! Coming in-store soon :)
Business ads start at $25! New this year: businesses can credit a PSD dancer, who receives 40% of the ad cost as a dance account credit. Share with your favorite local businesses!
Dancer shout outs are $25: Celebrate your dancer with a photo and special message in our keepsake program.

Land of Sweets Party - November 21
You’re invited to our Land of Sweets Party! 🍭
Join us on November 21 from 2-4 PM for a little Nutcracker magic! Meet and take pictures with characters, enjoy a dance party, read The Nutcracker story, make a craft to take home, and enjoy some sweets.
Ages: 1+

Coming Soon - A Big Project at The Pointe!
A fresh look is coming to PSD! ✨ We’re planning a big lobby and Turning Pointe Boutique renovation, with more room to gather, easier paths to the studios, and a larger, more functional boutique! We expect construction to begin shortly (we’re just waiting for final permit approvals) and take about 4-6 weeks. We’ll keep you updated as dates are confirmed. Read more in our blog post here. We can’t wait to share this next chapter with you! 💙
Storybook Steps at The Marion Public Library
Storybook Steps is a playful dance and story experience hosted at the studio and in partnership with The Marion Public Library! Each session includes:
A short, engaging story and theme
Guided creative movement and beginner dance activities
Music and rhythm exploration

Trial Classes & Referral Program
Did you know that we offer free trial classes for new-to-The-Pointe families - and we have a fun bonus for you if you refer a friend to our program? Families can schedule a trial class easily - just have them send us an email and we'll take care of it!
When a family you've referred signs up, please have them list your name in the "Where did you hear about us?" form in online registration. You both will receive a $20 gift card to our boutique!
